| + One should not romanticize those who are incarcerated.
Some have committed crimes that are unthinkable, devastated families and
communities, cost us all a great deal of money and more.
+ Some are wrongly convicted. Some ethnic inmates are given sentences unequal to those given to "whites". + Many are addicted to alcohol and drugs, are illiterate, come from very abusive homes, have never known love.
+ No matter what their crimes they are all our brothers and sisters in
Christ who loves ALL His children. |

| Thanks be to Christ the Lord, who brought us life by his death on the cross. With our whole heart let us ask Him: By your death raise us to life. Teacher and Savior, you have show us your fidelity and made us a new creation by your passion, keep us from falling into sin. Help us to deny ourselves today, and not deny those in need.
